Review for Silver Bay Caravan Park, submitted on 1st Aug 2020 by L Hamilton

Silverbay... Karen is lovely, very helpful...toileys are about 5 min walk through main site and very clean. every pitch has fantastic views. we are in pitch 3, which has the hook up point and water tap for 1-4 so people popping by for water..🤗lol..would probably choose a.different pitch next time 🤪 Its pretty busy..and the main site is pretty busy too. Lots of activity around and a lot of people around in wetsuits enjoying the water. Would we come back?🤔 yes probably !!

This was our second visit to Silver Bay and we just love it. I feel it has a lovely vintage feel with all the pretty static caravans like 1950s holiday resort but with all mod cons of Internet and showers etc. The view from Silver Bay is the best I could just sit all day and watch all the birds and the tide go in and out its a very romantic setting. Also for us not too far away from home so can pop there easily. We went to the site this time with camping Ni as a members event and it was brilliant. We had a ball and made lovely friends and the site warden is a nice guy very helpful. We had a great weekend all in all and can't wait to return. Thanks Silver Bay 😊

Never knew this place existed - we've nicknamed it "the hidden gem". Must admit the weather totally made it but the site is so lovely, peaceful and quiet with stunning sea views. Warden was always about if you needed any help or advice. Short drive away from Portaferry. Golf Club at the entrance has a small club house which serve food up to 4pm daily and their prices are very reasonable. Must thank Camping NI for including this park on the events as we wouldn't have known about. All in all, a fantastic weekend. Didn't want to come home.
