Review of Blaney Caravan Park, Enniskillensubmitted by P Armstrong on 9th April 2018
We stayed at Blaney Caravan Parkfrom 2nd April to 7th April. The park is situated about nine miles from Enniskillen on the southern side of Lough Erne. The park is small, catering for static vans and tourers. We had booked via email and arrived mid afternoon on the Monday afternoon.
We filled out the required information at reception and were accompanied to the touring pitches. Being new to this camping thing, we chose what seemed to be the easiest pitch to reverse in to.
There were a few vans on the park but the majority left the following day, which was Easter Tuesday. The rest of the week the park was very quiet, which suited us very well. The weather throughout our stay was poor, very wet at times but the park seemed to drain very well. The best day was the day we left, sod's law!
The park has all the usual amenities including a small children's play park. However, I imagine the park is better suited to more mature visitors.
We are planning to return later in the year.
There are two items which we would like to comment on.
1. We would have appreciated receiving instructions or a map to the amenities on the site at check-in (position of the chemical toilet, water points, toilet and shower facilities etc.) along with the flyer on local amenities and tourist information, which we did receive.
2. The toilet and shower block were very cold. There was a heater of some description high up on the wall in the gents but the one in the ladies was far too high for my wife to reach.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning later this year.
