Campsite Review for Golden Sands, Benone

Review for Golden Sands, Benone submitted by S Dorman on 17th Aug 2020

Very clean and well kept. Polite staff. Good communal toilet/shower/laundry block. 20p needed for hot water for dish washing and shower. Great playpark for kids. Static caravans(private), tourers, camping. Also glamping on a separate site. 1st come basis for pitch, no pre-allocation. Vacating site by 5pm. Direct beach access. Mini Market and take away just outside main gates. Very quiet at night even in high season and the place was totally full. Impressed. Definitely coming again.

Review for Golden Sands Benone submitted by R McGilligan on 17th July 2017
Kids absolutely loved this place. Near the best beach ever and the park was excellent. New toilet block is excellent and very clean only problem is tent pitches not near it. They have a cabin with 3 toilets and 2 showers in both male and female. They lock these at 9/10 and then tent campers have a portaloo to use after that! Not practical for small children as you struggle to both fit in! I did drive up to other toilets at night. Quiet enough at tent part which was good. Electric is pay by meter only 4 of these available but over the week we only spent about £2.50. It wouldn't let me boil our kettle so not very high voltage though let me use multi cooker and chargers! Would definitely still go back though
