What a place, my kids loved it. We only bought the caravan in May 2024 and we stayed at Funny Farm in Aug 24 and Oct 24. Alan was very nice and my kids loved his barrel rides. Very highly recommended. Can't wait to go back

Beautiful space with great clean facilities. Pitches are very spacious with EHU available at additional charge. Some recent refurb has been completed after storm damage making the site safer & nicely maintained. Location is great for castlewellan & Newcastle & perfectly peaceful.

Review submitted for Funny Farm Adventures on 27th July 2024 by S Phillips
We decided to bite the bullet and book our first trip. I asked on the club Facebook page for recommendations. We have two very energetic kids and a grumpy teen.
We arrived (firstly in a random garden, took a wrong turn) at Funny Farm Adventures. Alan (owner) met us as we came in and helped my partner reverse like a pro. We were very anxious about this and it was done with ease. He recommended how to pitch too, which took 5 minutes. Now the awning was another story!! But we won’t talk about that! Alan offered to see ask around for help, but it will do.
Two towns near by. Had a take away after setting up. We all slept very well. Newcastle has a Tesco and a Lidl or Aldi.
The showers were fab lots of power and warm and Toilets are very clean.
We have been chatting to other campers with kids and some say they visit every weekend. We hope to get back for for halloween if available then.
Lots for kids to do. Lovely atmosphere. Very clean and well kept. Hard pitch with grass for awning.
For a first experience ever, we couldn’t have found a nicer place and Alan had been a gent and I have tormented him with emails and chats and he is still brave enough to ask how we are!
We are very grateful for the support from Alan and our fellow camping club NI members. The discount paid for our membership. We hope to get out a lot more next year.
