Review for Tollymore Forest Park submitted by A Dubowska on 14th Aug 2020

That was ours first camping trip ever. We have the best time of our life. Showers and toilets are clean and well organised plenty of space for kids to play also beautiful walks in forest nearby is playground but there is no shop nearby but its not far by car to Newcastle or castlewellan we definitely get back many more times 😉

Great site, amazing walks, play area for the kids.

Good flat area for camping right beside the toilets and shower blocks.

The touring pitches are very well maintained.

Security was really good, and clearly visible at all times.

This is a great park for only £18 per night, £21 with electric hook up.

Great wee coffee trailer, with slush puppies and pastries.

Would definitely recommend this park to anyone, and no doubts, we will return very soon.

Hi all , this site has it all , walks , cycling (bring your own ), massive river walks with bridges and novelty step crossings-over river . . Park is Totally suitable for all ages .Child friendly , dog friendly and disabled facilities.very good at toilet and showers . Great big toilet and shower block open 24/7 . Showers free and hot with great pressure . Could do with an interior face lift but still very clean at all times . Pitches are all easy to set up on with the top ones having open mountain views lower ones better in stormy weather . Clean site , good bins and water . Elections are all new so no tripping. Book on line . Registration to fill £20-50 per night . Entrance and exit gate lock 5pm in winter 9 pm in summer with a way in and out for caravaners and motorhomes . I find it very safe and quiet and in high session there is security roll ins every hour . If you ever have a problem the park rangers are very willing to help . Great excess to hiking in mournes from this site . Closed shops Newcastle , virtually anything can be bought if u forget something 🤣. I hope this helps . Enjoy
