Campsite Review

Review for Sh are Village, Enniskillensubmitted by G Wilson on 27th May 2019
Share Discovery Village is located on the shores of Upper Lough Erne just outside Lisnaskea in Co. Fermanagh. The 60 acre site offers a range of residential options from chalets sleeping 8-12 people to touring caravan sites with EHU where we stayed and also camping pitches. The hard standing pitches where large, well laid out and each pitch had a nice grassy area to the side. The showers and toilet where close by and were spotless. There is also an indoor swimming pool and gym onsite.
I would really recommend this site during the summer for anyone with kids. There are two outdoor play parks, loads of grassy areas to play ball games and a mountain bike track. The real draw for anyone with kids with loads of energy are the daily activities available daily during July & August at an additional cost such as banana boating, Sailing, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, laser tag, windsurfing, and archery. They also run a summer scheme for kids in July and August Mon-Fri 9.30-4.30 for 8-16 year olds.
A big draw is the fantastic inflatable obstacle water park great fun for adults and kids but there are understandably some restrictions for kids so best to check their website.
If you really want to be adventurous you can really go off the beaten track and for a small fee book into the bothy on Trannish Island which is also run by the centre (or do what i did and just book the other half while you enjoy the camper to yourself). Trannish Island is located just off Share Discovery Village and the bothy can sleep up to 10, be warned though there is no electric or running water so you have to take everything with you including your toilet roll and the only way to get there is by kayak. You can also take your tent and camp there.
For those less adventurous you could take a 1 1/2 - 2 hour guided cruise of the islands on Upper Lough Erne on the Inishcruiser which leaves from Share Marina.
Share Discovery Village is not far from Lisnaskea which has some fabulous coffee shops and bakeries and is only about 20 mins from Enniskillen should you miss your shopping fix. It's also in a handy location for visiting the Marble Arch Caves and The Cuilcagh Legnabrocky Trail more commonly known as the stairway to heaven.
Loved my stay at the Share Discovery Village, the staff were all really friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and more than happy to help. We will definitely go back and stay again.
